Harmony

What is harmony? In music it is a set of notes that support the melody creating a full bodied tone. When nature is in harmony it is a peaceful setting perhaps with a glistening pond with a slight breeze blowing over the water. A person’s harmony is when they have peace within and a community’s harmony is also when it is at peace and working together.

As we walk along as Christians we should listen for the song that the Spirit wants to put into our hearts.

“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.” Psalms‬ ‭100:1-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are to sing praises to our God as we can see how nature exalts the Lord.

“All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.” Psalms‬ ‭145:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Spirit of God gives us peace.

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Finally, as Christians we should live in harmony with our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as with all people.

“May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.” Romans‬ ‭15:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.” Hebrews‬ ‭12:14‬ ‭NLT

Most holy and admirable God, I praise you and exalt your name. Set my mind on living by your spirit in a harmonious way revealing you to this world. Grant blessings on us today. In Jesus name, amen.

Be blessed!
